Zagat Tackles Medical Field

The familiar Zagat restaurant-rating system is moving into new territory—healthcare. The insurance company Wellpoint is providing customers in several states with a Zagat guide that allows them to rate their doctors. However, doctors are skeptical about the new system. Many are concerned that Zagat does not have adequate experience in healthcare, and others cite the fact that a physician’s skill may be hindered by a patient’s noncompliance with recommendations.
