Glutamine Fights H. pylori
A mouse study performed at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston shows that dietary glutamine helps protect against gastric damage caused by H. pylori. Infected mice that were fed glutamine supplements experience less inflammation, and the supplements also appear to improve the response of the immune system to the bacteria. The study indicates that a high level of dietary glutamine could offer protection from H. pylori. Medpage Today, April 15, 2009
