Twin IBS Triggers: Stress and Diet
Holly Clark, a gastroenterologist at LDS Hospital, notes that stress and diet are two important factors to consider when a patient has IBS. Dr. Clark and colleagues recently held a call session that addressed silent women’s health issues. One of Dr. Clark’s suggestions for callers with IBS was to keep a symptom diary. She said that is often difficult and time consuming to understand the causes of gastrointestinal distress. Other patients who called in suffered from urology-related issues. The call session was followed up with a presentation and question-and-answer session at LDS Hospital. Deseret News, October 12, 2008
