Dietary Analysis Through Urine Sample

A simple urine test can pinpoint unhealthy diets, according to a study performed by the University of Toronto. Direct questioning is often unreliable, and the urinalysis reveals levels of potassium. High potassium correlates to high intake of healthy foods, including fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Low potassium indicates high intake of sugar, red meat, and high-calorie beverages. High levels of potassium also correlated with lower blood pressure and heart rate. HealthDay, March 29, 2009
