Alternative Medicine Going Mainstream
Many medical practitioners are now incorporating complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) into their patients’ treatment plans. Acupuncture, herbal medicine, and chiropractic treatment options would have not been considered in modern Western World treatment plans until recently; however, many people are finding relief from these approaches. With the skyrocketing costs of treating chronic diseases, Western medicine is responding by integrating CAM training into medical conferences, and doctors are attempting a more holistic approach to treatments.
